OBSERVATIONS
Hexagonal formations in nature are quite common and can be seen in ice and volcanic rock processes. Abundant hexagonal/polygonal craters can also be found across Mars, attributed to fracture patterns and possibly even electrical discharges. These explanations are probably more likely.
POTENTIAL FOR AN ARTIFICIAL STRUCTURE
A clear hexagonal shape sits within the partial remains of another similar geometric shape.
COMMON EXPLANATION
A remnant massif formed by geological erosion.
