Is this evidence of a destroyed building that once stood on the surface of Mars, or just a geological oddity?
Several Mars enthusiasts noticed a very interesting object on the Martian surface that looks remarkably similar to rebar used in concrete construction work. The picture was taken by the NASA Curiosity Rover at Gale Crater, 1st September 2016, Martian day Sol 1448.
A more conventional explanation would assess the object as geological in nature, perhaps composed of veins of hard sediment that have remained after softer material has eroded away.
